Edmonton Observer

An independent record of overlooked infrastructure, informal paths, temporary populations, and the ordinary systems that hold a city together.

Edmonton Observer is a living practice of walking, looking, counting, photographing, and writing. It follows the arrangements through which a city becomes ordinary to the people who inhabit it.

Traffic cones, informal trails, public gatherings, and the intervals between events become evidence. An observation opens a question; the work stays with it long enough for the question to change.

The project brings literary nonfiction into conversation with photography, civic documentation, and practical experience of the systems that support public life.
